It's been discussed off and on for a couple weeks now, but we finally have a name and list of participants for the exempt tournament hosted by Rutgers. After the Beaver County Times reported that RMU would be a part of the tournament along with Mark Schmidt's St. Bonaventure team, FoxSports reports that it is going to be called the "Garden State Challenge" and also features the host Scarlet Knights, Marist, and Delaware.
The Times had previously reported that the tournament is tenatively scheduled to be like last year's Blue Ribbon Challenge, which featured Rutgers, Florida, North Dakota State, Tennessee Tech, and North Carolina Central. The teams all played each other, with games hosted by various schools around the country. Rutgers and Florida, though, were the primary hosts, so when the other schools played them, they were all at Rutgers or at Florida.
One would think that a similar format would happen here. More as it comes along.
